I have been fortunate to work with literally hundreds of clients on projects in virtually every industry (and in at least six different countries). I show clients how to maximize the great possibilities available to win attention and drive customers like never before.
SEO Case Studies
There are full versions of some of these case studies in my blog. You can also click on the title links to see those.
Sungard Availability Services – This major technology company’s website lost thousands of visitors as the result of a small technical error. I identified the problem and traffic quickly was flowing again.
Nova Scotia Tourism (official website) Case Study – Even in slow seasons this major tourism website gets thousands of visitors a day. I managed the SEO, raising traffic, improving the targeting of several different market segments, and also improved how reporting was done.
SureFit Online Retail Case Study – This case study is an example of how every SEO project is different, and how SEO copy can also be brand copy.
Super 8 Hotels Case Study – Most hotels compete in competitive markets. These Super 8 Hotels were no exception. Raising their visibility to regional searchers was a success, increasing targeted traffic by 80% – and more important, making the phone ring.
Mont Blanc Ski Resort Case Study – I’ve served this client for a decade. See how I elevated this ski resort website over larger ski resorts using content marketing and an evolving SEO strategy.
SEO-Friendly Website Development
Glenghorm Inn – An SEO-friendly WordPress website. The site was to be developed on a tight budget and quickly in time for the Cabot Trail’s tourist season. I planned the site around SEO goals, and scripted much of the content. Working with a WordPress developer partner, I directed site development and launch.
OnWaterfront.com – OnWaterfront is a real estate website. It’s focus is the sale and rent of (mostly upscale) waterfront properties. The site will launch in August 2013. I directed the brand strategy, content structure and acted as the client’s eyes on the project, leading the site development team.
AbbyShot – AbbyShot creates high quality movie-replica clothing and then sells that clothing around the world through its website at Abbyshot.com. Seth Godin referrenced them as a “purple cow” – a unique business that stands out. As a story, it helps that they are located on a rock surrounded by ocean. I led the creation of the site, and new brand elements (logo etc.) and also created the site’s SEO strategy, which is the source of the majority of new customers. (I should point out that the site has had a visual make-over since its completion to give it a ‘space’ look. Previously it was solid black – and had no drop shadows.)
Marlin Developer Community – Marlin is an interoperable and open digital content sharing platform. Now that you have that clearly in mind, you might recognize these four companies who are founders of this developer (programmer) community: Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Philips.
.“Rob has a unique combination of a fine-tuned intuition about what works in the marketplace and the ability to think very deeply and analytically on an issue level about on a wide variety of topics. On the several occasions I have had the pleasure to work with him this ability to approach a problem with both creative instinct and insight has been invaluable.”
