Good domains are getting harder to find.
These 3 simple tools – all on one site – can help.
Most domain sites have good search tools that can speed up searching related names or across domain extensions. Some have tools to help generate new ideas. But Domain Hole has 3 clever tools for domain name searching each with a unique function, two of them quite unique.
NameSpinner is Effective (but Not Unique)
Name Spinner is one that many other sites have. It allows you to enter a single keyword and then select different categories of words (nouns, animals, action words, etc.) to add to it. It also lets you choose to hyphen or not, and to choose what level of domain (com, net, org, biz, etc) you want to shoot for.
Instant Check Searches While You Type
More unique and great for brainstorming is the Instant Check tool that lets you check top level domains quickly, one after the other. All you do is type a domain name you might want into the central window provided, and after a half second pause, the status of .com, .net, and .org urls for that name shows up below it. No buttons to click, it just appears in real time. When you backspace and type in another name to check, the first name moves down and this continues to build, as a record of your searched names.
Find Only Short Domains with Name Generator
And finally, Domain Hole’s Name Generator is great if you want to find short available domains and are open to what’s out there. The Name Generator lets you specific the length of the name (as short as 5 characters, though it produces a dwindling number of results) and then instantly displays a list of available .com, .net, or .org names of that length. So if you have your heart set on a short name and are willing to go creative, this is the place to look.
Good luck with your domain searches. If you have other tools you especially like, let me know.
